Dune: Imperium Bloodlines Expansion Guide
Dune: Imperium – Bloodlines is designed to expand both the original Dune: Imperium and Dune: Imperium – Uprising. Its main new systems include Sardaukar Commanders, new Tech tiles, Leaders and Contracts.
What Bloodlines adds
- 86 cards, including Navigation cards
- 9 Leaders
- 7 Sardaukar Commander miniatures
- 14 Sardaukar Commander Skills
- Ixian Embassy board
- 18 Tech tiles
- 8 Contracts
Sardaukar Commanders
Sardaukar Commanders add a specialized military layer. Their miniatures are paired with Commander Skills, creating more differentiated combat development than simply adding another troop.
New Tech tiles
Bloodlines adds another set of 18 Tech tiles. If you are playing with Rise of Ix, they can be mixed into the existing Tech system.
If you are not using Rise of Ix, Bloodlines provides an Ixian Embassy module that gives the new Tech tiles their own acquisition route.
Contracts
Contracts create another objective/reward system and give players new short-term incentives to shape Agent placement and resource planning.
New Leaders
Bloodlines includes nine Leaders, expanding asymmetric starting abilities for both Dune: Imperium foundations.
Compatibility
Dire Wolf explicitly designed Bloodlines for both Dune: Imperium and Uprising. That makes it different from an expansion tied only to one foundation.
How does it interact with Rise of Ix?
Bloodlines can reuse the Rise of Ix Tech infrastructure when both are present. Otherwise, the Ixian Embassy handles Tech access. This keeps the Bloodlines Tech system usable without requiring Rise of Ix.
Who should add Bloodlines?
Bloodlines is strongest for groups that already know their preferred Dune foundation and want a newer layer of military development, leaders, contracts and Tech without switching to a different standalone game.
