Toy Battle: La Croisette is an additional terrain for the 2025 two-player base game. Repos Production also offers a separate medals track goodie. They are small additions with different purposes: one changes the battlefield; the other displays medal progress. Neither is a standalone game.
What is La Croisette?
Repos Production calls La Croisette a new terrain to add to Toy Battle and provides an English rules sheet on the official game page. It introduces special-base restrictions and effects but explicitly says the ordinary gameplay and victory conditions do not change. The base box already has eight terrains, so this is an extra map to explore after you know how connection and medal regions work.
The La Croisette sheet includes bases on which only strengths 4, 5, 6, 7 or the joker may be placed. One special-base effect prevents troop effects from resolving there. Other printed effects can temporarily make one opponent rack tile unavailable for their next turn or allow a player to draw a troop. Use the symbols and printed positions on the official sheet when assigning each effect to a specific base; placement restrictions apply before the tile enters the base.
How should you approach the extra terrain?
Before the first turn, trace the paths from both H.Q.s and mark which special bases are restricted. A low-strength troop cannot simply cross every route. Reserve an eligible tile for a needed restricted base and check whether placing a troop on an effect-suppression base would waste its power. If the terrain lets you draw, the usual eight-troop rack maximum still applies.
Because the victory conditions stay the same, continue to watch both immediate H.Q. capture and the printed medal objective. The extra base effects alter the route and tempo puzzle, rather than creating a new scoring system.
What does the medals track do?
The official medals-track goodie consists of two double-sided pieces. Assemble the pair that matches the chosen terrain’s medal objective and face your color toward you. Place medals on the track as you collect them, one marker per space, starting near your objective. The first player to fill the central medal space wins. This physically represents the base rule of reaching the terrain’s target; medals remain collected even if you later lose control of a region.
Do you need either addition?
No. Toy Battle’s base box already provides eight different terrains, and you can count medals without a track. La Croisette is useful when both players have explored the existing maps. The track is a convenience for seeing each side’s progress. Check the official download and the contents of any physical promo before assuming it is included with a retail copy.
