Rules overview
Start each turn by planting the first bean card in your hand, then optionally the second. Reveal two cards from the deck and trade or donate those cards and cards from your hand. All traded beans must be planted before the turn ends. Then draw new cards into the back of your hand without changing their order.

Editorial analysis: Protect fields that are close to profitable harvest thresholds, but do not treat every unwanted card as a problem you must solve alone. Trading can convert an awkward future plant into value while helping another player only a little. The strongest deals often improve both sides while preserving your own field timing.

Can I rearrange my hand?
No. Hand order is a defining rule: new cards go to the back and the first card must be planted when required.
Can I trade when it is not my turn?
Trades happen with the active player during that player’s trading phase.
Do traded beans go into my hand?
No. Traded or donated beans must be planted during the current turn.
