Potion Explosion
Pull ingredient marbles from a dispenser, trigger color-matching explosions and brew potions whose powers can set up even larger combinations.
Take one ingredient marble from the dispenser, causing the remaining marbles to slide together and potentially trigger color-matching explosions.
Store ingredients on potion tiles, complete potions for points and use their powers to create stronger combinations later.
Why We Love It
Potion Explosion turns a physical marble dispenser into a combo engine. Taking one ingredient can pull matching colors together, triggering chain reactions that make one move much more valuable than another.

What is Potion Explosion?
Potion Explosion is a 2–4-player puzzle game by Lorenzo Silva, Andrea Crespi and Stefano Castelli. Horrible Guild lists a 30–45 minute duration and age 8+.
The defining component is a marble dispenser where removing one ingredient can cause matching colors to collide and explode into additional ingredients.
How the game works
On your turn, take one ingredient marble from the dispenser. If the marbles that slide together are the same color, you also collect them; new collisions can continue the chain.
Collected ingredients are placed onto potion recipes. Completed potions score points and can later be drunk for one-time powers that manipulate ingredients or the dispenser.
The decisions that define it
The strongest move is often not the first marble you need, but the marble whose removal creates the longest useful chain reaction.
Potion powers also create timing questions: saving an effect can enable a larger future combo, but using it now may complete a scoring set before someone else.
Who is it for?
Choose Potion Explosion if you want a tactile, visually immediate puzzle with family-friendly rules and satisfying chain reactions.
