How to Play Bomb Busters: Dual Cuts, Solo Cuts & Deduction

Bomb Busters is a cooperative deduction game with 66 missions. The team sees its own sorted wires but not teammates’ values and must cut matching wires without hitting a red wire or exhausting the detonator dial.

Set up wires by mission

The base pool includes four blue wires of each value from 1 to 12. Missions add red, yellow or special material as instructed. Distribute wires face down among player stands and keep each stand sorted in ascending order.

Dual Cut

Choose one of your own wire values and point to a specific hidden wire on a teammate’s stand, asking whether it matches. If it matches, reveal/cut both. If it does not, advance the detonator and place an Info token showing the true value of the teammate’s selected wire.

Solo Cut

When the only remaining wires of a particular value are all in your own stand(s), you may cut the legal pair or set together under the Solo Cut rule.

Red wires explode

If a Dual Cut directly hits a red wire under the standard rule, the bomb explodes immediately. Some missions change how red wires are revealed or handled.

Equipment unlocks from successful cuts

Shared and personal equipment provides controlled information or special cutting options. Equipment becomes available according to its printed unlock condition and can be limited to once per game.

Win by emptying every stand

The team wins when every required wire has been legally cut/revealed and all stands are empty. The team loses if the detonator reaches the skull, a red wire explodes or a mission-specific failure occurs.
