How to Play Flip 7: Hit, Stay, Bust & Action Cards

Flip 7 is a press-your-luck card game where higher number cards are worth more points but also appear more often in the deck. Drawing a duplicate number busts your round unless a Second Chance saves you.

Deal one face-up card to each player

Resolve Action cards immediately as they appear. Number cards stay face up in front of their player; score modifiers remain with that player’s round display.

Hit or Stay

When offered a turn, choose Hit to receive another card or Stay to stop taking cards and bank your current round score. A stayed player is inactive for the rest of that round.

Duplicate number = bust

If you receive a Number card matching a Number already in your line, you bust and score zero for that round unless an available Second Chance effect prevents the bust.

Action cards

  • Flip Three: forces the chosen player to receive up to three cards under the card’s resolution rules.
  • Freeze: makes the chosen player bank their current score and leave the round.
  • Second Chance: can cancel one duplicate-number bust, then is discarded with the duplicate.

Score modifiers

+ value modifiers add points; the x2 card doubles the Number-card subtotal before flat modifiers are added. Modifier cards are not Number cards and do not count toward the Flip 7 condition.

Seven unique numbers ends the round

If you reveal seven different Number cards, the round ends immediately for everyone and you earn the Flip 7 bonus in addition to your normal round score.

Race to 200 total points

After each round, add banked round scores to cumulative totals. Once the end condition is reached, compare totals according to the current edition’s final-score rule.
