Everdell Newleaf Expansion Guide: Station, Visitors & 59 New Cards
Everdell: Newleaf is one of the largest card-pool expansions for Everdell. It adds a new Station board, Train Car tiles, Visitors, Reservation tokens and 59 new Critter and Construction cards.
What Newleaf adds
- New Station board
- Train Car tiles
- 59 new Critter and Construction cards
- Reservation tokens
- Visitor cards
- Additional resources, meeples and scoring opportunities
The Station board
The Station expands the shared area beside the Meadow. It creates additional worker-placement opportunities and supports the Train Car system.
Train Car tiles
Train Cars create changing bonuses and resource opportunities linked to the Station. They make the shared board more dynamic without replacing Everdell’s normal season structure.
Reservation tokens
Reservation tokens let you claim a card from the Meadow for later. This reduces some of the uncertainty around waiting for a card to remain available and rewards longer-term planning.
Visitors
Visitors create end-game scoring opportunities tied to the city you build. They add another reason to shape your tableau around specific card patterns instead of only maximizing raw point efficiency.
59 new Critters and Constructions
Newleaf substantially increases the normal city-building card pool. This is the core reason the expansion improves replayability: more pairings, more combo paths and more competition over the Meadow.
Does Newleaf require Everdell?
Yes. Tycoon Games lists Newleaf as a gameplay expansion requiring the Everdell base game.
Who should add Newleaf?
Newleaf is a strong choice when you already like standard Everdell and mainly want more cards, more scoring routes and more shared-board activity. It adds more content than Bellfaire while feeling less punitive than Spirecrest.
