Dune: Imperium – Uprising Expansion Compatibility Guide

Dune: Imperium – Uprising is a standalone foundation, but Dire Wolf explicitly designed it to work with earlier Dune: Imperium products. The exact setup changes depend on which expansion you add.

Current-line note: Dire Wolf has announced Conspiracy as the next expansion for Dune: Imperium and Uprising. As of September 21, 2026, the publisher has only previewed part of it, so this guide does not invent unreleased rules.

Adding Rise of Ix

The official Uprising rulebook provides specific setup instructions. The CHOAM overlay is folded so it covers only part of the Uprising board, and the Ix/CHOAM boards are treated as having observation posts for the Uprising spy system.

Dire Wolf also recommends not adding the old Rise of Ix Conflict cards in a normal Uprising game because matching battle icons becomes harder, although an additional Conflict III card is needed for the Epic Game variant.

Adding Immortality

Immortality can be combined with Uprising. Its research, specimens and grafting systems are added on top of Uprising’s new board, spies, contracts and worms according to the current compatibility rules.

Adding Bloodlines

Bloodlines was explicitly designed for both foundations. Its Leaders, Sardaukar Commanders, Tech and Contracts can therefore be used with Uprising without owning the original Dune: Imperium.

Using original Leaders

Dire Wolf allows Leaders from the original Dune: Imperium to be used in Uprising. This expands the leader roster without importing the entire original card deck.

What about Conspiracy?

Dire Wolf publicly teased Conspiracy in July 2026 as the next expansion for Dune: Imperium and Uprising. Only a subset was previewed for tournament play, so complete component and rules coverage should wait for the formal reveal.
