Everdell Mistwood Expansion Guide: Nightweave, Solo & 2-Player Play

Everdell: Mistwood is the most targeted expansion in the line. Its main feature is Nightweave, an automated opponent designed to create a richer challenge for solo and low-player-count Everdell.

What Mistwood adds

  • Nightweave automated opponent
  • 79 Nightweave cards
  • Nightweave and player boards
  • Web and Season tokens
  • 23 new Critter and Construction cards
  • Additional critter meeples and support components

Nightweave

Nightweave uses its own AI deck and board to build pressure without requiring another human player. The system is designed to be replayable rather than a fixed scenario.

Solo play

Tycoon Games positions Mistwood as a major solo expansion. Nightweave creates a more developed automated opponent than simply racing a static score target.

Two-player use

Mistwood can also be used in low-player-count games where Nightweave adds another force competing for opportunities and space.

New city cards

The expansion includes additional Critter and Construction cards, so Mistwood adds some normal deck variety alongside its automated-opponent system.

Does Mistwood require Everdell?

Yes. It requires the Everdell base game.

Who should add Mistwood?

Mistwood is most useful for solo players and regular two-player groups. If your priority is expanding the standard multiplayer card economy, Newleaf or Bellfaire has broader impact.
